The weather has finally cooled down and it feels different when the holidays begin. Spending more time with family and friends, catching up, and tons of food are all reminders that the holidays are here. Closing up 2025 means our school year is halfway over and planning for next year begins. It all starts with the Whole Hog preparations between now and April 25, 2026.
The Whole Hog was created by Dr. John and Lyn McKee in 2016, to bring in funding for ELB. Different from your average gala, the Whole Hog invites you to come enjoy delicious BBQ, smoked by the best pitmasters of El Paso, at our backyard-style event. Live music, a corn hole tournament, great raffles, and a laid back vibe makes the Whole Hog memorable. As fun as this is, there is true importance to the success of this fundraiser. The proceeds create the scholarship funds we can offer for students the following school year.
It costs about $19,588 per student, per year, to provide the high quality programming at ELB. We currently charge $6,000 per year in tuition. Many of our families struggle to make ends meet, especially when they have a child with additional needs. ELB is able to offer assistance based on the money brought in by the Whole Hog. Now is the time to commit, every sponsorship puts us closer to our goal. We want to offer a scholarship to every family in need until our classes are full instead of until the money runs out.
